I love the hexagon quilting over the hexagons. That's really fun. Personally, I would at least square up the sides, but I might follow the hexagons at the top and the bottom.
Hi! I am kookoo for hexagons so I love what you did and I love the MGQ colors. The quilting is great. I like the idea of binding the hexagons. I wonder if I should do that with my quilt... As for the second Item I would say quilt swirls or curlicues in the strips.
The hexis look great. I know you've prob decided by now as I'm late replying, but looking at them on the batting, I'm thinking if you use the same colur to go in the gaps and out an inch or so to match the batting size..?
oooh, I love the hexagons, but I'd love it more squared up!

Love your hexagon quilt. The hand quilting looks awesome! If the hexagons are tiny the I would square up otherwise it would be fun to bind them as is.
ReplyDeleteLove that fabric bundle.

ReplyDeleteI am useless for suggestions on your lovely projects because I'm too busy drooling over your Tula owls - such a great find!
ReplyDeleteThose are some serious decisions! I love your Henie quilt, and your hand quilting! I would square up the Hexies if it were me :)
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of binding the hexies just because it's small and therefore less work than doing it on a bed-sized quilt. :)
ReplyDeleteLove the way you quilted your hexi blob. And clearly, I love all that FMF!
